About the Program
프로그램 소개
The Korean Internship Program (KIP) provides high school students, college students, and young adults with opportunities to work on community initiatives that serve the Greater New York Korean American community — while building professional skills, expanding their networks, and finding mentors.
한인 인턴십 프로그램(KIP)은 고등학생, 대학생, 청년들에게 뉴욕 지역 한인 커뮤니티를 위한 봉사 활동에 참여할 기회를 제공합니다. 참가자들은 전문적인 역량을 키우고, 네트워크를 확장하며, 멘토를 찾을 수 있습니다.

Healthcare Directory Maintenance

LEGAL TRACK
Legal Track
법률 트랙
Volunteers on the Legal Track gain early exposure to the legal profession while helping bridge the gap between the Korean community and essential legal resources. The Legal Track is part of the Korean Help Legal Assistance Initiative, which is building a network of pro bono attorneys and firms to serve Korean New Yorkers in areas such as housing, immigration, family law, criminal defense, and small business.
법률 트랙 자원봉사자들은 한인 커뮤니티와 필수 법률 자원 간의 격차를 줄이는 데 기여하면서 법률 분야를 조기에 경험할 수 있습니다. 법률 트랙은 Korean Help 법률 지원 이니셔티브의 일환으로, 주거, 이민, 가정법, 형사 변호, 소규모 사업 등의 분야에서 뉴욕 한인들을 위한 무료 변호사 네트워크를 구축하고 있습니다.
Legal Education
법률 교육
Participants receive structured instruction in core legal topics — including family law, criminal law, nonprofit law, and policy — taught by a licensed attorney. Courses run sequentially over several weeks and are designed to help students understand how the law works and how it can help people in their community.
참가자들은 면허를 가진 변호사로부터 가정법, 형법, 비영리법, 정책 등 핵심 법률 주제에 대한 체계적인 교육을 받습니다. 과정은 수 주에 걸쳐 순차적으로 진행되며, 법이 어떻게 작동하고 커뮤니티 구성원들에게 어떻게 도움이 되는지를 이해할 수 있도록 설계되었습니다.

Legal Relations
Research Korean American attorneys and law firms, draft outreach communications, and help build the pro bono attorney network that will serve the community.

Policy & Legal Resource Research
Investigate the legal challenges most commonly faced by Korean families — such as housing disputes, immigration issues, employment matters, and consumer protection — and help map available resources and service gaps.
주거 분쟁, 이민 문제, 고용 문제, 소비자 보호 등 한인 가정이 흔히 겪는 법적 문제를 조사하고, 이용 가능한 자원과 서비스 공백을 분석합니다.
Student Legal Fellows
A selective pathway for dedicated participants who demonstrate strong commitment and aptitude. Fellows receive advanced training and work closely with licensed attorneys, assisting with translation, legal document preparation, and client support under direct supervision. This track is designed to develop participants into skilled community legal advocates over time.
